Growing our studio
A new studio, right off the main gallery, with room for larger classes and new kinds of workshops.
Give a studio.
Grow a community.
WMOCA is growing, and our classes and workshops are growing with it. We’re building a dedicated art studio just steps from the galleries, a place where every class and workshop will have a home, and where more students can learn from working artists and make something of their own.
Our classes fill quickly, and more people want to take part than we can seat. A larger studio means bigger classes, more of them, and the space to start the new kinds of classes we’ve been planning, many of which are ready to begin as soon as the room is.
The studio also puts making next to looking. Students can walk out of class and into an exhibition, and visitors may find a class in progress just down the hall.
Help us make room for more.
What a bigger studio makes possible
Your gift turns space into possibility.
More making,
less setting up
A studio of our own means classes can start with the easels already standing and the supplies on the shelf. No more working around gallery and ballroom events, just more time with a brush in hand.
Room for guest artists
With space to spread out, we can welcome visiting artists to teach workshops, demonstrate their craft and share what they know with our community.
Room for more students and more classes
Larger classes mean more seats at the table and room to launch new kinds of classes we’ve been waiting to start.
