Iconic is a group show curated by David Hummer and Didi Menendez for the Wausau Museum of Contemporary Art in Wisconsin. It is a reminder that the act of an artist picking up a brush to apply paint to a medium is in itself iconic. In a world saturated with digital and media imagery, the line between original art and what AI creates has become blurred. This show features artists who still use traditional mediums and expressive brush strokes to represent cultural and historical figures.
