Light & Air: Painting Clouds in Acrylic with Mark Mittlesteadt

$250.00

A four-week acrylic workshop

Clouds can make or break a landscape painting. In this four-week workshop, artist Mark Mittlesteadt draws on his decades of experience painting wildlife, landscapes, murals, and museum displays to teach you how to paint skies that feel full of light, depth, and movement.

You’ll learn how to observe and simplify cloud forms, mix convincing sky colors, and create soft edges, volume, and atmosphere in acrylic. From bright summer cumulus to dramatic storm skies, you’ll build skills you can bring to any landscape you paint.

All levels are welcome. Because this class is hands-on and highly personalized, it’s limited to just five students, so each painter gets plenty of one-on-one guidance from Mark.

Medium: Acrylic
Level: All levels
Dates: Fridays, January 8, 15, 22, and 29, 2027
Time: 1:00–4:00 p.m.
