Discover the playful, unpredictable beauty of watercolor in this four-hour hands-on workshop with local artist Renee O’Brien. This class is truly for the beginning watercolorist, so no experience is needed.
Renee will guide you through several small projects that teach the basic skills and techniques of watercolor. You’ll watch colors mingle and bloom on a damp surface, build depth and richness by layering paint, and preserve bright whites with masking. You’ll also experiment with splatter, dry brush, negative painting, and texture. You’ll leave with new skills, a few finished pieces, and the confidence to keep painting at home.
All materials are provided, so just bring your curiosity.
